Western Pa. trucking operation laying off 52

A New Jersey-based trucking firm plans to lay off all 52 drivers at its western Pennsylvania facility by November.
The layoffs are planned at the Louis J. Kennedy Trucking Co. in Aliquippa, about 20 miles northwest of Pittsburgh. The company is based in Kearny, N.J.

Register for state truck driving championships

The Nevada Motor Transport Association holds its annual state Truck Driving Championships at 8 a.m. June ǭ at the Reno Stead Airport, 4825 Texas Ave.
Those planning to participate have until June 2 to register and pay the $65 entry fee. Admission is free for spectators.
