One Expensive Bowl of Chili

I’m sure by now you have probably heard about the guy driving a lumber delivery truck who claims to have gotten choked on a bowl of chili, and crashed into a house. It has been making the news quite a bit, and is the third choking related accident, in the last couple of weeks.
Eric Gremm, 59, was driving the truck and reportedly eating a bowl of chili, and the truck hit a bump in the road causing him to get choked, and pass out. The truck veered off the road and ran into a house Friday January 29, 2010 in Lowell, Massachusetts. There was a woman inside the house at the time of the accident, but was unhurt. The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Yesterday a report came out that building inspectors and police checked the house and said that the safest way to remove the truck, which has been lodged inside the house since Friday, was to tear down the house around the truck. Now, they will have to tear the house down, and build one back I am sure, as it was not the house’s owners fault that the truck is sitting inside it.
Talk about an expensive bowl of chili. Wow, I hope it was some good chili too. Reports earlier said it was a bowl of chili from Wendy’s. But, it didn’t say the chili had anything to do with the accident, other than the driver got choked from eating and hit a bump in the road.
